DVD Class Room in a Box Series

This section of our sales catalog is dedicated to the selling of our newest products, DVD Class Room in a Box series.  These DVD's are going to be the same as taking a class at the Bedford College of Lace Making, with the exception that you can watch them over and over again.  Each DVD is set up with an introduction, a syllabus and five thought out lessons to cover a five week course. 

This instructional DVD is on the subject of Netting. In this DVD, we will cover the basics of the construction of lace created with the same stitch to make a fishnet or a hammock. This DVD can only be purchased through the Bedford College of Lace Making either on this site or at any event listed on the schedule page, with the noted exception of gourd shows and festivals held in the state park system.

This instructional DVD is on the subject of Pulled and Drawn Threads. In this DVD, we will cover the basics of the construction of a piece that is half lacemaking and half embroidery.  This DVD can only be purchased through the Bedford College of Lace Making either on this site or at any event listed on the schedule page, with the noted exception of gourd shows and festivals held in the state park system.

This instructional DVD is on the subject of How to Build Your Own Bobbin Lace Pillow. In this DVD, we will cover the how to create a bolster style pillow as well as the basics of the construction of other kinds of pillows.  This DVD can only be purchased through the Bedford College of Lace Making either on this site or at any event listed on the schedule page, with the noted exception of gourd shows and festivals held in the state park system.

Stephen Bowman has written an instructional booklet on the construction of a Bolster type Bobbin Lace pillow, with instruction on sewing the fabric cover and liner.  Plus there are instructions on building the cradle, which is the base for the pillow, out of wood.  This booklet can only be purchased through the Bedford College of Lace Making either on this site or at any event listed on the schedule page, with the noted exception of gourd shows.

The Green Giant Ring Pillow shown here is a Ring type pillow measuring approxiamately 7 inches wide by 20 inches in diameter with a 15 inch opening size and has a one inch thick layer of ethafoam. This pillow comes with a box stand with a support bar and can be used with or without it.

Example of the Travel Pillow

The Travel Pillow shown here is a small French Roller type pillow measuring approxiamately 10 1/2 inches by 12 inches at the base and the roller is 6 inches long by 2 1/2 inches in diameter.  This pillow features a removable roller with wing nut screws that can tighten the roller in place.  Additional rollers can be purchased for this pillow.

Red Velvet Lap Pillow

The Red Velvet Lap Pillow shown here is a small French Roller type pillow measuring approxiamately 8 1/2 inches by 12 inches at the base and the roller is 3 1/2 inches long by 2 inches in diameter.  Please note that this pillow is a one of a kind, it was originally a commision piece for a client who ended up wanting a larger pillow instead.

Miniture Pink & Black Pillow

The Black Velvet Mini Roller Pillow shown here is a very small French Roller type pillow measuring about six inches diameter and the roller is 3 inches long by 2 inches in diameter. Please note that this pillow is a one of a kind, it was originally built to be a demonstration model but was only used once.
